Why do you enjoy performing at weddings? My greatest satisfaction is the opportunity to help create memories the bride and groom can look back at and remember how much fun their guests had, seeing them do things that really made smile them. But most of all, at the end of the night, when several guests tell me, "This was the best wedding I've been to, can we have your card?" That's when I know I did a great job
How do you make sure the hosts are enjoying your performance? Knowing what their expectations are (dancing, sitting down, talking party, etc) getting started is a critical part of an event's success. Keeping communication lines open throughout the evening helps ensure that everything is running smoothly. Observing whether the guests are participating and having fun out on the dance floor helps me determine the flow of the function.
What type of personality do you have? Fun and outgoing. Very professional and polite.
Why do you enjoy working at Complete Music?
If you're working at Complete Music, you are doing it wrong. Tiger Woods doesn't work, he plays. Labron James doesn't work, he plays. AJ the DJ doesn't work, he plays. I get to do something I love every week and get paid for it!
What makes you unique as a DJ?
I get really involved, I become part of the crowd and people always remember me.
Give an example of one of your best moments as a DJ? All events have a fun moment. I always try to outdo myself at every show. One particular time when the groom came over, looked me in the eye and with the most sincere look on his face he said, "Thanks for making this night special" and gave me a $300 cash tip.
What is your number one goal at your dances? My #1 goal is to hear at a dance, "We saw you at so and so's party and you were great, that's why we requested you". That's when the pressure is on to make it even better than the one before. Also, to have that one couple say, "We don't dance, but tonight was fun."
